Moynaq was once the biggest port of Aral Sea. URSS intentionally let it drain and today all is left of the lake is a little polluted pond. Nowadays, Moynaq’s port looks like a desert. A Remembrance Museum shows the haunting wrecks of the old fishing vessels.
